Founded in 1883 as Singers F.C., the club adopted its current name in 1898 and is one of only five professional clubs to have ever won the FA Cup, in 1987. They also reached two consecutive FA Cup finals, losing to Tottenham Hotspur in the 1981 final and defeating Tottenham Hotspur 3–2 in the 1987 final. Derby County Football Club is an English professional association football club based in Derby, Derbyshire. The club competes in the Sky Bet Championship, the second tier of English football. The club was founded in 1884 and has played at Pride Park Stadium since 1997.
