Crystal Palace Football Club is an English professional football club based in Selhurst, London. The club plays in the Premier League, the highest tier of English football, and competes in all three domestic cup competitions. Crystal Palace was founded in 1905 at the famous Crystal Palace Exhibition building by the owners of the FA Cup Final stadium which was situated inside its historic grounds. The club were forced to leave the Palace in 1915 due to the outbreak of World War I, but returned to their home ground in 1924. The club has been a member of the top flight of English football since the 1969-70 season, spending four seasons in the Second Division and 27 seasons in the First Division. Crystal Palace have won the FA Cup twice, in 1990 and 2016.
Rayo Vallecano Football Club, also known as Rayo Vallecano or simply Rayo, is a Spanish football team based in Vallecas, in the neighbourhood of Madrid. The club was founded in 1924 and currently plays in La Liga, the top tier of Spanish football. Rayo Vallecano is known for its strong local identity and passionate supporters. The team has won the Segunda División on two occasions and reached the quarter-finals of the Copa del Rey three times.
