Mamelodi Sundowns FC is a South African professional football club based in Pretoria, Gauteng. The club was founded in 1970 and currently plays in the Premier Soccer League. They are the most successful team in South African football, having won the league championship a record 12 times, as well as the Nedbank Cup a record 8 times. The club has also won the CAF Champions League and the CAF Super Cup. Mamelodi Sundowns FC plays their home games at the Lucas Moripe Stadium.
