River Plate Football Club, commonly known as River Plate, is a professional football club based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Founded in 1901, it is one of the oldest and most successful clubs in Argentine history. It has won a total of 36 domestic titles, including a record 36 Primera División titles, and 10 international titles. River Plate is the most successful team in the Copa Libertadores, the most prestigious club tournament in South America. It has also won the Copa Sudamericana, the Intercontinental Cup, and the Supercopa Sudamericana.
El Nacional FC is a professional football club based in Quito, Ecuador. Founded in 1967, it currently plays in the top division of Ecuadorian football, the Serie A. The club has won two national championships, and is one of the most successful teams in the country. El Nacional plays its home matches at Estadio Olímpico Atahualpa in Quito.
